Children of Divorce is a Denver-based indie folk trio. They write about themes of queer love, loss, dismantling the patriarchy, and objects of their fandoms. Members Katie Yeager, Genevieve Libien, and Finn O’Sullivan all met while studying songwriting at the University of Colorado Denver and immediately found their writing styles to be compatible, with an emphasis on poetic storytelling through lyrics and ear-catching melodies. They bonded over a shared love of Taylor Swift and Harry Styles (their musical parents and the band’s namesake), and after a writing session over a zoom call mid-pandemic, the rest was history. Á la boygenius, they each play solo as well as with the trio.
