Rooibos, Dutch for “red bush” is a bush native to South Africa which has gained worldwide popularity in recent years. It is naturally caffeine-free, and contains many of the same health benefits attributed to green and white tea. Red rooibos undergoes an oxidation process (much like black tea), which contributes to its rich, earthy flavor and thick body. It may even be taken with sugar or cream.
