The Peach Rat

  • Trident Booksellers & Cafe 940 pearl street Boulder, CO 80302 USA (map)

Alli Cook, aka The Peach Rat, is an up n’ coming singer-songwriter hailing from the Appalachian region of southern West Virginia. Alli now tends to reside along the Front Range, Colorado area. Making her way out of West Virginia and into Colorado was no easy feat. The old saying “trials and tribulations,” come to mind… The name “Peach Rat” stems from the duality inside The Rat herself. The Peach side represents a sweet, charming, dare I say, innocent-esque being. While The Rat showcases levels of hardy, traumatized, Appalachian grunge - if ya know, ya know. It’s all fun and games until you see The Rat perform live… Her music is like some sort of theatrical, bohemian, psychedelic-rock, circus, fever dream. Peach Rat takes you on a journey of soul-bending, up-lifting sorrow, all the while gently kissing you on the forehead to let you know it’s going to be okay. The performance style is one you have never seen before and one you may never see again. The Peach Rat specialties include storytelling, flute, keys, and magical, inflective vocals. Taking the stage with Peach Rat is Cliff Bueno de Mesquita on bass, Lowell Thompson on drums, and Darren Roebuck on lead guitar.

The Peach Rat purpose is to inspire creativity and authenticity. The goal is to bridge mania into a musical reality.

“She ain’t go lookin’ for a fight but by golly, she never back down from one neither”
