Wave Collector is the downtempo electronica project of Neal Wright. The project’s recent full-length release, Your Call is Important to Us, mixes vibey, warm, retro electronica with sci-fi worldbuilding to create a hold music concept album. Since starting in 2015, Wave Collector has released 4 full-length albums as well as several singles and remixes. Their sound includes soaring analog synth lines, unique organic sampled elements, and acoustic instruments, and covers genres including synthwave, IDM, and downtempo. Their live set features a live drummer and an all-hardware array of samplers, sequencers, and synthesizers with rich effects and improvisational elements.
