Lucky Me consists of Three-time Grammy winning producer/composer/musician Tom Wasinger and legendary Boulder singer/songwriter Craig Skinner. Tom has received three GRAMMY AWARDS as producer of the “Best Native American Music Album” in 2003, 2007, and 2009. Tom has also produced three other GRAMMY nominated records in 2001, 2005, and 2008. Tom’s first commercial success as a producer came in 1994 when his collection of international lullabies “The World Sings Goodnight” reached #3 on the Billboard World Music chart. This collection has since been licensed by National Geographic or the release “Lullabies, Dream Songs From around the World”. As a composer, Tom has written scores for film, television, and modern dance. Tom has performed live in venues around the world from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul, Turkey. Tom builds experimental musical instruments and is the founder of “The Lost Angel Stone Ensemble”, the world’s only touring ensemble of resonating stone instruments. Tom and his music have been featured twice on National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered”. Craig Skinner: In the early 1980s there was no cooler band on the Boulder scene than Pearl. Pearl was one of Boulder’s first New Wave bands. Wearing skinny ties and Capezio shoes, trademarks of the era, Pearl played original songs, influenced by and reminiscent of, Dire Straits, Talking Heads and the 1960s British Invasion. Craig was the founder and lead singer of Pearl. The pure rock and roll sound and striking vocal harmonies set Pearl apart from all other Boulder and Colorado bands. They played regularly to sold-out rooms at The Blue Note, Molly’s Back Room, The Boulder Theater, The Boulderado, Tulagi’s and venues all over Colorado, usually with lines of waiting fans down the block and around the corner.
