Children Of Divorce // Geral Dine // Halle Dean //

  • Trident Booksellers & Cafe 940 pearl street Boulder, CO 80302 USA (map)

Children of Divorce is what happens when you get three femme songwriters who love Taylor Swift and Harry Styles together. Genevieve Glimp, Finn O’Sullivan, and Katie Yeager met while studying music in college and found that they all liked singing about queer love, shitty men, and the objects of their fandoms. À la boygenius, they each perform as solo artists alongside playing with the trio.

Geral Dine is a Denver based folk singer/songwriter. She is very influenced by 1960s beatnik literature and culture. She uses whimsical poetry and storytelling to write about her life and the world around her and wants to inspire people through music to organize with their community to make positive change.

Halle Dean is a multi-talented songwriter and vocalist. Originally from East Lansing, Michigan, she is now living and performing in Denver, Colorado.

She moved out west to become more immersed in Denver’s independent music scene. She writes alternative/folk music, and last year, she released her debut album called “show you care” which was a collaborative effort between herself and other local musicians. The album was a mix of nostalgic folk songs, heartbreaking ballads, and her experiences overcoming adversity as a young woman.

Halle Dean: Halle uses her platform to openly discuss living with a disability and advocating for human rights. When she was diagnosed with several life altering illnesses, she decided she wanted to write music in the hope that she could make others in the disabled community feel less alone. And she makes it her goal to inspire others through the art of songwriting.

Isabella Kappel:

Isabella (aka PS, its Izzy) is a 21-year-old, self-declared professional fangirl. Specializing in Pop/Punk music, she will be releasing her first single Golden Boy later this year. Isabella performs stripped back versions of her songs to show a different side of her music. She takes a lot of inspiration from artists like Aly and Aj, Alanis Morrisette, One Direction, My Chemical Romance, Taylor Swift, and so many more. She takes pride in her “scattered” music taste which makes it difficult to describe her exact influences. Isabella has been performing for years and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
