Black Thunder is a particularly malt-forward second flush Darjeeling from Gopaldhara Tea Estate in Darjeeling, India. Second flush teas, meaning teas harvested in the summer after the tea bushes have regrown their leaves from the first Spring harvest, are traditionally given a full oxidation and made into black teas.

This very nice whole-leaf Darjeeling is everything one should expect from a quality second flush Darjeeling. It is highly infusible and contains strong notes of dark cherries, fennel, and wild honey. This is a very comforting tea appropriate for any style of tea brewing. Recommended for fans of Indian blacks.
