Hello tea lovers! It's been almost three days since our last tea meet so it's time to make a new one. This time we're doing a tea share, guest starring two competition winning high mountain Taiwanese oolongs courtesy of Trident. It's going to be off the chain! Bring anything in your collection that is interesting, traditional, unflavored eastern tea. If you don't have anything, that's fine - we always have more samples than we can share. I'm bringing the famous campfire log that White2Tea cursed me with years ago. It is an experience. Anyway, see you there!
Desiree Cannon is of California blood, writing country-folk songs since she was able to get her fingers around a guitar, referencing the romanticism of frontier through her songwriting. Coming from a family of cattle ranchers in San Benito county, all long time fans of country music, she recalls fond memories of hearing bits and pieces of the whole labyrinth of the country music catalog. Her songwriting is informed by her cowboy grandfather’s sizable record collection and even larger collection of western novels, inspiring her original music. She found her own favorites in the towering legacy of voices that came through Townes Van Zandt, Lucinda Williams and Karen Dalton. Now strongly rooted in the Bay Area, she has started her own music showcase named Run with the Moon, a free show that features three separate acts each month, showcasing roots music from all over world. She has also begun to work with the record label The Long Road Society for her debut album in 2018. Ready for the tides and the changes that keep California so enticing she is looking to the horizon for whatever it may have in store for her.
