I, Dominick Antonelli, am originally from Pittsburgh, Pa and have been playing guitar for the last 18 years, starting at age 12. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the beginning years of playing were building a support system, a form of therapy, to help navigate tough childhood experiences. At age 16, I was introduced to alternate tunings, and that completely changed my playing experience. It gave me space to start exploring and developing my own feel/sound, without having the knowledge of theory. I wrote my first instrumental piece at age 17 and still play the refined version of that song today. It is called My Ocean. I play a mix of instrumental pieces and songs with lyrics, both of which have been inspired by my experiences in search of self awareness and lessons through traveling. I have played at a few music festivals on the east coast, one in Costa Rica and one in Thailand. The music continues to refine and continues to surprise me in what decides to come out of these fingers. I am looking forward to sharing with you!
