Adam Gnade + NKP Tour Kickoff

Adam Gnade and Nathaniel Kennon Perkins kick off their 2019 tour at Trident Booksellers and Cafe on Tuesday, Aug 6th at 7:30 PM. Bart Schaneman, Xi Wang, and Noelle Siddal Mrugalla will also be presenting.

Adam Gnade is the author of the indie bestseller The Do-It-Yourself Guide to Fighting the Big Motherfuckin' Sad. He will be reading from his soon-to-be-released third novel This is the End of Something But It's Not the End of You (Feb 2020) and will have advance copies of the book for sale. His books and connected series of "talking song" audio cassettes, which share characters and continue each other's plotlines, are released by Pioneers Press and Three One G. Recent "talking songs" have featured members of The Locust, Modest Mouse, Gang of Four, Castanets, Head Wound City, and Chad Valley. Nathaniel Kennon Perkins is the author of the short story collection The Way Cities Feel to Us Now (Maudlin House, 2019), a short novel, Cactus (Trident Press, 2018), and the ongoing literary zine series, Ultimate Gospel. His creative work has appeared in Triquarterly, the Philadelphia Secret Admirer, Timber Journal, and others. He is the recipient of the High Country News’s 2014 Bell Prize. Bart Schaneman lives and writes in Denver, Colorado. He has published numerous stories, essays and poems and is most recently the author of the short novel The Silence is the Noise (Trident Press, 2018).

Xi Wang is a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography at the University of Colorado-Boulder (CU) and also teaches Climate Change Politics and Policy. Xi is broadly interested in energy transitions to a low-carbon economy, particularly in the electricity sector. She has worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and The Breakthrough Institute. She holds a M.S. in Environmental Studies from CU and a B.A. in English literature from Cornell University.

Noelle Mrugalla is a Boulder-based poet whose work has appeared in RLY SRS Lit, South Broadway Ghost Society, and others.
